Husky Hangout Information

Husky Hangout is designed to provide a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable environment for after school care. Our program is open to all students K-5th who attend Haw Creek Elementary school.

The program operates from school dismissal at 2:20 pm through 6:00 pm on days that Forsyth County Schools are in session.

Activities provided include:

• snack
• homework time
• recreational sports
• music
• dance
• art
• computer literacy
• movies
• free play
• and so much more!

Please dress your child appropriately for a variety of fun activities -including tennis shoes and appropriate layers for unpredictable weather.

A registration form must be completed and an annual registration fee of $75.00 per child must be paid prior to participation in the program.

FEES

Husky Hangout Tuition will be as follows...

For the FIRST Child in a Family

• $350/month (5 days/week/4 week month)
• $18/day for 2-4 days/week (Partial Week Rate)
• $20/day for drop-in daily rate

For the SECOND Child in a Family (or more)

• $285/month (5 days/week/4 week month)
• $14/day for 2-4 days/week (Partial Week Rate)
• $20/day for drop-in daily rate

Additional Fees include:

• Early Release Days - +$25/day/person

Please note: Husky Hangout may not be availble on all Early Release days. Our staff provides at least 2 week notice on changes to schedule.

Registration fees and tuition for Husky Hangout can be paid with schoolpay.com - parents must create an account by going to schoolpay.com

Cash and checks are also accepted.

Payments are due the first day of the month.

NO REFUNDS

Husky Hangout staffs our program based on monthly prepayment. Students who are paying the full tuition will not receive refunds for individual days that they miss Husky Hangout.

OVERDUE ACCOUNTS

Accounts with a balance of $100.00 will have 10 days to pay the balance in full.

If the balance is not paid, the student will be dismissed from the program on the 10th day. The student may return once the balance is paid in full.

PROGRAM WITHDRAWAL

Withdrawal from the program must be given in writing to the Husky Hangout Director to avoid additional fees.

Monday - Friday from 2:20 PM-6:00 PM

Early Release Days & the Friday before a Holiday Break, Husky Hangout will close at 5:00 PM.

Late Pick Up Fee - If your student is not picked up by 6:00 PM, there will be a $5/minute late fee per child due at the time of pickup.

Students may be released to the parents or authorized adult (18 or older) only.

Husky Hangout Director must be notified in writing of any changes to authorized pick up people.

All restricted pick up must be noted on your registration form.

Daily sign out of your student is required.

Students are not allowed to walk or ride bikes home from Husky Hangout.

To maintain a safe and fun environment, all students are expected to adhere to the Haw Creek schoolwide expectations, Pause for PAWS.

All expectations for appropriate behavior will be communicated to all students and families. Rules and privledges are grade level appropriate and consequences will be enforced.

1st Incident: Warning and Parent Contact - If the first offense is very serious, the student could be suspended from the program without warning.

2nd Incident: Time out in the office for the remainder of the day plus parent contact.

3rd Incident: Suspension from the program for the next school day.

4th Incident: Program Expulsion
